Clare MacLeod BA (Hons) Director/Principal Consultant
Clare, now in her 18th year with KKP, has unsurpassed industry experience encompassing work in national governing bodies of sport, local authority sports development and facility management and in all forms of training, development and voluntary sector support.
She was the Strategic Operations Manager for Sport England’s Clubmark for 7.5 years, taking numbers from 1,400 to over 14,000 plus running related club and sports group development processes. She also supported Sport Northern Ireland to set up, pilot and embed its Clubmark NI club accreditation.
Nationally recognised as an expert trainer and within training programme development, she oversees KKP’s portfolio in this area providing bespoke training for, among many others, Streetgames, NGBs, British Gymnastics and the nationally acclaimed Prevent workshops for Sport England and the Home Office. She is also a qualified tutor and her knowledge of coach education and development, at all levels, is extensive.
Clare also works on KKP’s needs assessment and facility strategy portfolio.
She has a first degree in physical education from the University of Wales and, prior to joining KKP in 2001, managed swimming pools, leisure centres, youth work, sports development teams and programmes. Her work for English Hockey involved managing a regional brief and she also worked on Active Sports and development strategies plus capital and revenue projects.
