Carmel Daniel BSc (Hons) Research Consultant
Carmel’s primary area of expertise is open spaces. Working closely with Chris MacFarlane, she has accumulated substantial experience in key work areas. She is actively involved in coordinating and undertaking site visit assessments as well as engaging with various stakeholders in order to gauge the strengths and weaknesses of areas’ open space provision. This is underpinned by, and clearly demonstrates, her high level analytical and excellent communication skills.
A geography graduate from Lancaster University, Carmel joined KKP specifically to work on this portfolio. In so doing, she combines her personal and professional experience in providing an effective platform for her role at the Company. She has a background in both physical and human geography and an excellent bank of transferrable skills encompassing report preparation, research and presentations. Whilst at university she secured the optional Lancaster Award and was a geography mentor.
She also worked on a voluntary basis for numerous charities (including Oxfam, Save the Children and the Make a Wish Foundation) as well as working as a distribution and collection officer for Forever Living. She has also undertaken an internship at the Ministry of Justice.
An experienced semi-professional sportswoman, Carmel is confident, highly motivated, and has excellent communication skills. She plays football to a high level, and has also competed in other sports, such as korfball.
