Andrew Fawkes BA (Hons) MBA Principal Consultant
Andrew joined KKP in March 2017 as Principal Consultant, specialising in sports facilities strategies, needs assessments, research & evaluation, feasibilities and business planning. Before joining the Company, Andrew spent over fifteen years at Sport England working at both national and local levels in the areas of strategic facilities planning, capital project development, sports facility design and procurement & management options appraisal developing a wealth of industry knowledge and experience at a senior level.
His extensive network of trusted relationships across local Authorities, leisure operators, NGBs and the voluntary sector is been built on an excellent track record in the disciplines of project & programme management. He has, for example, contributed to delivering c. £30m of Lottery investment into major national facilities in Manchester including the National Taekwondo Centre, National Basketball Centre and East Manchester Leisure Centre. Over this same period he also ran a strategic swimming review.
Andrew has supported the delivery of numerous local authority built facility strategies and brings concurrent expertise in Facilities Planning Model based analysis and local authority ‘check and challenge’ quality assurance roles.
He has a BA (Hons) in Sport and Recreation Development from Leeds Metropolitan University and developed his knowledge base further via the completion of Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Sheffield Hallam University in 2011. As part of this he undertook a qualitative based research project into knowledge transfer between the Rugby Football League and Sport England.
