St Georges Park National Football Centre: the FA

KKP developed the Community Use Plan and supported development of related business plan projections to satisfy both FA and Sport England requirements for the National Football Centre which opened in July 2012. The culmination of long term effort by the Football Association to create a recognised home for English football it is already embedded as a world-class training facility for all English representative teams and a national home for coach education and player production.

Plan delivery is maximising participation opportunities for not only football but a range of other NGBs for whom a key element is its promotion as a national centre of excellence for coach education across all sports.

Peter Kay, Senior Facilities and Investment Manager at the Football Association said “KKP’s project team assessed, challenged and helped the FA to refine its initial vision for use of SGP to ensure that the final product benefitted as wide a range of people and sports as possible. The FA is keen to ensure that SGP is open and accessible to everyone at every level of football as well as many other sports and their NGBs”.
