PPG17, PAN65, TAN16
National legislation and guidance presents new challenges to developing planning policy for open spaces and facilities. Our comprehensive portfolio has involved delivery of more than 80 PPG17, PAN65 and TAN16 related studies across England, Scotland and Wales:
- Needs assessments: Indoor and built facilities - the comprehensive supply and demand assessments that we provide, inform which facilities should be rationalised, replaced and improved.
- Playing pitch strategies - our assessments ensure that development opportunity presented by the FA, the Football Foundation, Section 106 and other programmes is optimised.
- Open space studies - we deliver comprehensive, robust studies in a wide variety of environments, assessing provision in terms of quality, quantity and accessibility.
- Provision for children and young people - KKP's analysis of, and consultation on, provision for play and adventurous activities provision in line with local need and the national directives.
Our assessments and strategies are based on the most comprehensive, detailed evidence base within the sector. The emphasis placed on face-to-face consultation means that this is of a high standard and that future direction is based upon a solid foundation. All our work meets statutory LDF requirements and we provide the robust evidence base needed to inform future planning decisions.
Having reviewed a number of KKP's documents, it is my view that their use of strategic planning tools, analysis and interpretation and adherence to PPG17 guidance is exemplary, providing clients with thorough and comprehensive working documents. KKP is raising the bar and councils should expect this level of diligence and attention to detail when commissioning this type of work... Sport England's FIS Adviser
