Countryside and water agencies

Our expertise in this area extends to feasibility assessments - particularly for reclamation and brownfield site based projects, tourism impact studies, sport and conservation, interim management, watersports and extreme sports market appraisal and business planning.

  • Brownfield site development – Renaissance South Yorkshire appointed us to assess the viability of developing the Hesley Wood Colliery (110 acre) Tip near Sheffield as an outdoor sports venue
  • Coastal watersports centre – We delivered, for the South Sefton SRB, working closely with the Merseyside partnership, a feasibility study and outline design masterplan for a marina (including visitor centre, conferences and catering) linked to a sensitive coastal path in Crosby.
  • Making more of protected landscapes - KKP evaluated the achievements and effectiveness of the countryside services for High Weald an AONB and historic landscape at the heart of South East England.
  • Herrington Country Park - we conducted a feasibility study for introducing countryside pursuits, road and off-road cycling and major outdoor spectator events at Sunderland's flagship park.
  • Country & water sports centre feasibility – Site trustees commissioned us to deliver a major feasibility study assessing options and the market potential of a 966 acre sand quarry site for implementation from 2010
