Sport England has commissioned Knight Kavanagh & Page (KKP) to provide an assessment of best practice across specific projects and community wide interventions. It will assess 24 projects and schemes from across the Country, including those funded through Active England, Space for Sports and Arts, Green Spaces, the Community Club Development Programme and community wide interventions, such as Sport Action Zones.
KKP will provide an analysis of good practice to develop a better understanding of the relationship between inputs, processes and outcomes and value for money. The evidence gathered will help Sport England and its partners prioritise future investment to maximise the impact on participation particularly amongst key targeted and priority groups. In addition the Company will identify common ingredients for success and specific approaches that work to overcome common barriers and widen access.
This is a project that KKP is ideally placed to deliver. It is nationally recognised as the specialist strategic sports development company, an expert market research agency and a specialist in impact evaluation. Over the last 16 years it has been at the cutting edge of evaluation of sport, community, regeneration and facility-led development projects at local and county level. From the national evaluation of school-club links element of national PESCCL programme for Sport England to exploring the impact the Lincolnshire School Sport Partnership Consortium has had through the schools network on school and community sport in the County, KKP has an extensive track record in delivering and evaluating community based and lottery funded projects.
