South East Wales working together in partnership

South East Wales Sports Development Forum has appointed Knight, Kavanagh & Page (KKP) to create a scoping strategy to shape the development of sport in South East Wales. The assignment will address fundamental issues relating to the defined roles, purpose, direction and outcomes of the Forum in relation to Climbing Higher (the first Welsh Assembly Government strategy for sport and active recreation) and Making the Connections targets to modernise public services.

KKP is widely recognised throughout the UK as the specialist strategic sports development company.  It has worked extensively with county partnerships in England and Ireland from supporting the selection of the first eight county partnership trusts for the Irish Sports Council to supporting more than a quarter of the county sports partnerships in England to audit and plan strategically to determine their future direction.

Commenting on the project, Jonathan Woods said,  "I am delighted that KKP is undertaking this ground breaking study. It provides an excellent opportunity to apply our extensive knowledge and experience of partnership evaluation and development in the unique national and regional policy environment of South East Wales."
