Knight Kavanagh & Page (KKP) is to facilitate the merger of North Cornwall Arts and Restormel Arts. This important piece of work provides a clear opportunity to shape the future direction of community arts provision in East Cornwall. The study will address issues relating to the defined role, purpose, direction and achievable outcomes of the proposed partnership.
Jonathan Woods, who manages KKP's South West office, will lead on the work, supported by Arts Consultant, Mary Schwarz. Commenting on the project, Jonathan said "This is an interesting challenge for KKP, combining its expertise in the three areas of business planning, partnership development and cultural services. If carefully executed, establishing a single organisation to deliver community arts in East Cornwall will have a positive impact on local residents."
KKP is recognised as one of the UK's leading management consultancy practices specialising in sport, leisure and cultural services. It has extensive background in the delivery of arts and cultural projects. It is currently working with Oldham MBC to determine baseline levels of adult participation in the arts, drama, music and other creative activities. Other recent assignments include the development of a cultural observatory gateway for Culture Northwest, and the production of cultural strategies for the Breckland Local Strategic Partnership and Cumbria County Council.
