KKP to manage Clubmark for Sport England

As of April 2006, Knight, Kavanagh & Page (KKP) will manage the Clubmark accreditation scheme on behalf of Sport England.  The national scheme has been in place since 2002 and there are now over 1,250 accredited clubs.  It is envisaged that by 2008 this will have increased significantly and that Clubmark will become the quality mark that everyone looks to see attached to a club.

KKP will work closely with national governing bodies of sport, Sport England and the DCMS to implement processes to ensure that Clubmark is a genuine ‘quality standard'. Branding of the scheme will also be developed to improve levels of awareness across the country. This will lead to enhanced benefits for accredited clubs.

KKP will be responsible for the validation of NGBs and CSPs as well as evaluating the impact of the process and the accreditation on clubs. It will also improve levels of management information around the scheme and start to market and promote the programme throughout England.

Clare MacLeod (National Clubmark Manager) said; "KKP is delighted to be managing such a significant scheme. We are keen not only to ensure that the scheme is professionally managed and administered but also to ensure that its impact on sports development is maximised."
