Sport England and the FA have commissioned Knight, Kavanagh & Page to evaluate football participation rates in six local authority areas of the North West.
The FA, working closely with its county bodies and the local football partnerships, has developed a robust system to accurately measure levels of affiliated participation across the country. This ‘CAS' (County Administration System) produced its first set of data for the current season 05/06.
KKP is taking these figures and evaluating the key factors that affect local participation in the sport. The findings will enhance understanding of the drivers and barriers that influence the widely varying levels of participation in different forms of the game and the sophistication with which the FA and partners approach investment and development programmes.
KKP is delighted to be involved in such an important, innovative study. Its findings will be crucial to effective investment in the game.
