Evaluation of Lincolnshire SSP Consortium

Knight Kavanagh & Page (KKP) is working with the Lincolnshire Schools Sports Partnership Consortium to explore the impact the Consortium has had through the schools network on school and community sport in Lincolnshire. It was established in 2003 to play a strategic role in the development of high quality PE and sport in Lincolnshire.

The purpose of the assignment is to assess and review the impact of partnership working through the schools network to explore the benefits of this type of approach on school and community sport. It will also consider how the Consortium is helping to address the wider Extended Schools and Every Child Matters agendas. The outcomes of the assignment include publications to enable other organisations to benefit from the evidenced best practice and advice on future strategic direction.

KKP is recognised throughout the UK as the specialist strategic sports development company and has undertaken an extensive range of projects with schools and SSPs. It is currently managing the national evaluation of school-club links for the DCMS, Sport England and the Youth Sport Trust and is also pioneering a pilot assessment project with Salford Community Leisure to develop a baseline for physical literacy levels of pupils at the start of year 7. Furthermore, the culture of the company complements the aims of the consortium - KKP firmly believes that sport and leisure can have a positive and lasting impact on people's lives.
