If you are a community sports club in Luton or Bedfordshire we want to hear from you...

A Sport England and KKP project that aims to map current provision for children and young people in sport in community settings is currently being piloted in Bedfordshire and Luton. The project will combine information on schools, facilities and, most importantly, clubs to result in an intuitive and easy to use system. It will allow team BEDS&LUTON and partner organisations, with a few simple keystrokes, to access detailed information on all types of sports clubs in their area.

It will, for example, enable users to ask for details on badminton clubs within two miles of a particular school, to find out when they play, where at, whether or not the club is accredited, who to contact for further details and the number of places the club has for young people. It will also inform sport development officers and partners, of the support which clubs require to ensure that they can sustain existing participation of young people in sport and also accommodate more children and young people at their club in the future.

All the data supplied is to be treated as confidential. However, once fully developed, there is a possibility, that some of the data (i.e. club location, contact, training times etc) may be used to inform a public facing system which team BEDS&LUTON are developing. It could then be used to promote accredited clubs. If any club does not want to be included on a public website (if it is developed) they can simply tick an opt out box. This would allow their data to remain available to sports development officers and local schools looking to promote club membership and sports participation, it would not, however, be accessible to the general public without club permission.

All clubs that are recognised by their own sports' governing body, Clubmark accredited or not, have the opportunity to be included in this system, free of charge. All you have to do is:
