(image) Knight Kavanagh & Page has completed the intial draft report for the sports facilities strategic framework for the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland County Sports Partnership (CSP) area.
The report identifies the vision and objectives in order to influence how sports facilities are planned and developed across the Area. A clear definition of "community use" is identified within the strategic framework, which seeks to influence the relevance of facilities to local communities, rather than purely relying on the existence of them.
The strategic framework is underpinned by a comprehensive audit of facilities. This involved analysing Active Places information, consulting with all local authority partners and undertaking over 100 site specific audits. The auditing and review process identified an additional 43 sports facilities which were not originally cited on Active Places.
Now the initial draft of the report has been completed, the project steering group is keen that the following consultation process is adopted in order that the final sports facilities strategic framework for the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland County Sports Partnership (CSP) area can be published and promoted:
