In 2008 Knight Kavanagh & Page (KKP) was appointed to assess the feasibility of West Yorkshire Sport (WYS) becoming an organisation with independent legal status. The process included consultation with key partners to develop and test recommendations plus an assessment of the suitability of various legal structures relative to its current situation.

Sport is a driver for a diverse range of businesses; from legal services to construction, media coverage to clothing and nutrition to Information Technology.
On the back of the publication of the Sports Sector Strategy for the North West report, Lancashire was keen to drill down further to understand how sport and physical activity contributed to the wider social and economic priorities in the County.
