Staff, governors, parents and pupils and representatives from KKP recently attended the official opening of the new sports complex at Astley Sports College in Tameside, Greater Manchester - on the 22nd March 2007; a facility for which KKP played a key role in the design, business planning and in securing external funding.

On 4th July 2006, the Department for Education & Skills (DfES) announced that Lansbury Bridge School (St Helens) has been awarded Specialist Sports College status.
