Louise is a key member of the team that delivers our PPG17 open space assessments and strategies, in particular for outdoor recreation and playing pitches. An experienced project management consultant, she is also closely involved in Company work on feasibility studies.
Having joined in 2005 after graduating in geography from the University of Nottingham she has worked her way up through the Company and brings excellent project management and communication skills to her work; this has also encompassed being closely involved in the management of Clubmark.
Louise has a professional and welcoming approach and excellent communication skills. She manages and undertakes much of the community consultation that underpins our strategies and is confident in a range of environments, from presenting to a large audience of sports professionals to chairing cluster meetings with Clubmark lead officers to engaging with clubs at local level.
She also brings specific additional knowledge and experience of the education sector, via her work on the development of PE and school sport strategies and the evaluation of the current PESSYP focus on improving links between schools and Clubmark clubs.
In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Louise was recently elected Chairperson of Bury's Community Sport and Physical Activity Alliance (Communities Group) where she leads on commissioning services for targeted groups (including vulnerable adults, young people and BME communities) and liaises with Council departments and partners including Greater Sport, Greater Manchester Police, Bury FC Community Trust, the Youth Service, and the Borough's area sports forums.
