Bringing more than fifteen years operational and strategic experience in sport and leisure, Jonathan manages KKP's South West office.
He leads, both regionally and nationally, on a wide range of assignments including sports and recreation strategies, funding and investment assignments and programme evaluations.
KKP is an approved supplier on Sport England's Strategic Planning Framework for Sport and Jonathan is the lead consultant on the Needs Assessment Group, undertaking assessments and audits for local authorities in accordance with PPG17.
In all aspects of his work, Jonathan strives to ‘make a difference', not only for the benefit of the client, but also the wider community. It is for this reason that he has recognised success in projects that use sport to achieve wider social objectives, including health and well-being, community safety and social inclusion.
His career has included work in practical conservation and management of one of the first, largest and most rural Sport Action Zones in England.
In addition, Jonathan is recognised as an expert in community consultation. He has the ability to put people at ease, whether it's a group of ‘single mums' or Chief Executive Officers of regional agencies, creating the right atmosphere with a positive approach that leads to solutions and improvements for the future benefit of all.
Aside from the ‘day job', Jonathan is a respected community leader. He is a founding board member, and chairman, of Carrick Leisure Limited, which operates 15 leisure centres and a multi-purpose entertainments venue in Cornwall. He is also a trustee and board member of Volunteer Cornwall, which co-ordinates several initiatives (e.g., a voluntary transport scheme) and three volunteer centres.
