Clare is passionate about sport and has a wealth of industry experience gained from her background in facility management, sports development and work in and with national governing bodies and the voluntary sector.

She is a nationally recognised expert in the field of young people and sport and is, as a result, truly at home in her current main role of National Clubmark Manager. In this she is responsible for the operational management and development of Clubmark on behalf of Sport England, working with NGBs, CSPs and other partners and stakeholders.

Clare is a people person, a team player with a natural ability to get the most out of individuals and groups. This comes to the fore in community consultation and training; she is often invited to conferences and other industry events to speak and facilitate workshops.

In recent years, she has also delivered a range of feasibility studies, specialising in swimming pool provision ranging from small rural community pools to large nationally significant 50 metre pool such as those in Leeds, Sunderland and North Down.
