Tender Researcher/Writer
To support our continued growth, we are looking for someone to work closely with the CEO, principal and senior consultants, to:

Research and produce high quality tenders for new work.

Assist, review and support other processes designed to generate new work
-
Prepare and develop presentations (on paper, Powerpoint etc.)

Conduct other research work.
This will involve:
-
Critical review of our current tenders plus our sales and marketing processes with a view to ensuring that they have maximum impact.

Careful reading of pre-qualification questionnaires and briefs to ensure that ‘all bases are covered' when writing bids.

Undertaking background research (independently and with colleagues).

Contacting potential clients, via telephone or email, to clarify elements of the brief or to acquire useful information to inform the preparation of tenders.

Working under pressure to meet tight submission deadlines.
A degree qualification is desirable but most essential is that you have excellent writing and grammatical skills, the ability to read and interpret a brief and to rapidly absorb internal briefings from colleagues. You must be able to work on your own initiative and produce work of a high standard.
This is a desk-based role working at our offices in the centre of Bury. Salary is negotiable dependent upon experience, aptitude and how the role develops.

National Community Sport Development Programme: Area Manager (North)
A new manager is required to support the development of Sport England's new Community Sport Development Programme. This will incorporate and combine the overhauled Clubmark and runningsports programmes and be delivered and managed by KKP on behalf of Sport England. The three area managers will enable KKP to deliver national coverage and be key posts:
- Covering an agreed area of England working closely with CSPs, NGBs, local authorities, clubs and volunteers to co-ordinate conferences, club forums and identify need for new and innovative products to support volunteer development.
- With functional responsibility for (e.g.) club and volunteer research and product testing, product development and innovation and Clubmark and other quality accreditation development and licensing.
Working with and through key partners and with direct involvement with volunteers at club level, this manager will support effective delivery of agreed outcomes, outputs and specific projects. The successful applicant will have knowledge and understanding of sustainable sports development and will:
- Be a strong and effective team member.
- Have exemplary personal and team motivational skills.
- Demonstrate expertise in at least one of the functional areas identified above.
- Be prepared to work evenings and weekends, as standard.
A strong commitment, and appreciation of how to develop and sustain, multi-agency partnerships within the sport, leisure and voluntary club sectors is key. This manager will work closely with the Strategic Operations Manager to deliver a quality service in a results-focused environment. Specific management arrangements and office location will be determined on employment.
This is a great opportunity to work in this key area of national sports development. Contracts fixed up to end of March 2015. Salary negotiable.
